Christmas during the Depression to be presented after bake sale on Dec 14th

The Nodaway County Historical Society invites the public to their coffee shop and bake sale on Saturday, December 14th.

Member of the Nodaway County Historical Society, Dr. Bob Bohlken, says he, Tom Carneal, and Harmon Mothershead will host a program on what Christmas time was like during the Depression years.

"Narrated by three old professors and with audience participation about Christmas during the Economic Depression of the 1930s.  Enjoy pastry, conversation, and reminisce about the 1930s."

The bake sale is set for Saturday, December 14th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. with the Christmas Time in the Depression years program at 11 a.m.

This will be the last event before the Nodaway Historical Society closes December 15th for the winter and reopens in March.
